Food for Thought – Glycemic index (GI). The GI values tell us how much a food will increase our blood sugar levels. Sort of, the problem is that no two people are the same. A portion of food that gives me a huge increase in blood sugar may only give you a moderate boost. The GI is still a good guide when deciding which food to eat and which to avoid.
Trouble Shooting – We have all heard repeatedly, “The best long-term way to lose weight is to eat less & exercise more. It’s a nice easy catchphrase, and everyone agrees with it. The problem is that diets built around this concept fail 99% of the time!!! The solution is to combine diet and fasting for effective long-term weight control.
