Saint Patrick’s Day festivities include fun foods like green beer, green cake, green bread, corned beef & cabbage, or corned beef rubins. “She who must be obeyed” (my wife) has laid down the menu for this year, and it includes lots of goodies, none of them listed on any low carb or keto diet foods list! So, no fasting for us on the 17th. After the 17th, it’s back to fasting and diets. Remember, when living a fasting lifestyle, it is essential to take a day off from time to time and enjoy all the foods you love because “variety is the spice of diets.”
For some keto-friendly recipes, I suggest looking at the recipes online, such as “ruled me” at

This Week’s Diet and Lifestyle Answer –
“None of the above” is the correct answer. The key to fat gain is the hormone insulin. Insulin is the life insurance hormone, and its job is to move glucose from the bloodstream and guide it to fat cells. The stored fat is then available to keep us alive when little or no food is available. For example, overnight, when we are asleep and fasting, our body can convert the fats back to glucose and into the bloodstream to keep us going until the next meal arrives.
